What’s My Job?

Apparently it’s my turn to work on the company blog again since I got into work late today. I guess I’ll just give a summary of my day. I got up and had a shower, dressed and ate my breakfast. The last thing I do before leaving home every day is pack my suitcase of stuff. What stuff? I’m not really sure what it is, or what purpose it serves for the company, but I was given my stuff on my first day of the job and told to bring it every day or I would be fired.

Anyway, I got into my car and started driving to work, ready for whatever nonsense the day would throw at me. And quite the nonsense it was! I was caught in the middle of a big police hunt and accidentally drove over some tyre spikes. From there, I spent a lot of time waiting for a Mornington tyres businessman to come and put some new tyres on my car. That’s the whole reason I was four hours late for work.

When I finally got in, I was assigned to button pressing duties again and told that I’d be writing this blog post at three-thirty in the afternoon. I wasn’t sure whether I should talk about my last visit to the Mornington car service network or my latest Goblins and Grottos adventure, but I decided to do neither and just talk about my day. Getting caught in a big police manhunt is pretty interesting, no matter how boring I make it sound.

After this, I’m back on switch flicking for the third time this week. I wouldn’t mind pushing buttons and flicking switches if I knew what it was doing, but this company is so secretive about everything. If I knew I was turning a single traffic light green, amber or red when pushing that button, I’d be the happiest person in the world. But for all I know, it’s not doing anything!
