Waffles, Repairs, Safety

My turn to write on this old thing, hey? I’ve been working at this company for almost forty years now, and have only gotten to write on the blog a handful of times. It’s good fun, but I never know what to write. Maybe I should just talk about my day. It started out pretty well, with a nice breakfast of bacon and eggs on waffles. That might sound strange, but trust me, it’s amazing. You should try it. After breakfast, I got ready for work, then got into my car and started driving toward the giant skyscraper we call a workplace.

I only got about halfway before my car broke down. Turns out I needed emergency car repair. Around Malvern, I didn’t really know any mechanics, so I had to look them up. Thankfully, there was one only a few streets away willing to help me. Thank goodness, otherwise, I would have missed my chance to write this post! Hence, I’m dedicating it to you, Billy the mechanic. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t found a mechanic to get me out of trouble. I would have been so sad if I’d missed my chance to write this post. Now, enough about the best mechanic near Malvern. I’ve got to make the most of this post.

So, what do I actually do at the company? I’m the health and safety officer, making sure things are done right for the health and safety of the employees. Given the size of the building, it’s a difficult job for one man alone. I should probably have a team of twenty people or something, but it’s just me. I get through about one floor of the building each day, which means I complete a full check once every three months or so. I’ve spoken to my bosses about getting a team, and they always say they’ve got to talk to the CEO about it. I’ve never seen the CEO, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s just a fish in a bowl on top of a human body, or doesn’t exist at all.

Alright, that’s me. Hope you enjoyed my blog post!
